“Numro Ba Besch”

The Swedish artist Åke Hodell (1919–2000) worked on text-sound composition from the early 1960s. In 1970, working in the studios of the Fylkingen Society in Stockholm, he developed a unique approach for his contribution to Henri Chopin’s artists’ magazine OU. “Numro Ba Besch” goes beyond mere “poésie sonore” to become a seductive and intoxicating smash hit! The Fylkingen Society, was founded in 1933 to promote chamber music before evolving into a centre for “experimental, new and unestablished forms of contemporary arts”.
